Why Peak use an air-receiver tank with your nitrogen generation system

An air receiver tank can be an important part of any compressed air & nitrogen generation system.

Air receiver tanks primarily serve as a reservoir for gases but have a variety of purposes. In addition to storing gas, an air receiver tank can be used to smooth the flow of air or gas to an application or next point of use. This can also be particularly pertinent, depending on the gas production methods & technologies utilized.

Peak Gas Generation i-Flow nitrogen generators use a process called Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) to produce nitrogen gas. PSA is used because it produces clean, dry, high purity & quality of nitrogen gas from compressed air.

You can learn how PSA works here but, in terms of why i-Flow systems use air receiver tanks, this is because when PSA is used to produce nitrogen, it produces the nitrogen gas in waves, or pulses. To ensure that the application receives a constant, uninterrupted flow of nitrogen, these pulses of nitrogen are collected in the air receiver. This stored nitrogen gas can then be fed to your application as & when it requires, as a consistent & continuous stream.
