We address the misconceptions around using a nitrogen generator for gas assisted injection molding.
Take control of your gas supply with on-site nitrogen generation. By producing nitrogen where it's needed, manufacturers can reduce operating costs, improve production efficiency, minimise supply disruptions, and support long-term sustainability initiatives.
By eliminating dependence on delivered supply and reducing ongoing operating costs, our solutions provide a secure, continuous source of nitrogen exactly where and when it's needed. Designed, manufactured, and supported by our expert teams, PEAK generators deliver long-term performance, efficiency, and peace of mind.

Both the academic and research staff are a great deal happier knowing their work flow will not be interrupted by gas supply issues anymore. I am now able to concentrate on other projects with peace of mind and confidence in the system.
Cylinder or dewar rental & supply delivery charges
Bulk liquid storage planning permission, installation, rental & upkeep
Multi-year purchase contract commitments, with long notice periods
Frequent hazardous truck deliveries to facility
High-pressure storage, with risk of explosive decompression or leaks
Cylinders & dewars require heavy manual handling
Unpredictable supply timescales
Bulk supply needs frequent switching & monitoring
10% gas returned to supplier & 20% lost to ‘off-gassing’
Downtime = lost revenue
Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) nitrogen generators work by drawing in compressed air and passing it through Carbon Molecular Sieve (CMS) beds that selectively adsorb oxygen, moisture, and impurities while allowing nitrogen to pass through. Atmospheric air is made up of approximately 78% nitrogen, 21% oxygen, and small amounts of other gases. The PSA process selectively removes the oxygen and other contaminants, leaving a reliable supply of nitrogen.
The i-Flow system uses two CMS columns that alternate between adsorption (producing nitrogen) and desorption (releasing trapped oxygen during depressurisation), creating a continuous, reliable nitrogen flow. As the cycle switches back and forth, the generator delivers high‑purity nitrogen on demand at the required purity, typically ranging from 95% to 99.999%.
Through PEAK's global service footprint & dedicated support team located on every continent, we offer more than just a product - we are committed to support you with the best service offerings built to deliver dependable, hassle-free performance.
The adoption of nitrogen generation systems contributes to long-term sustainability goals. On-site nitrogen production eliminates the need for bulk tank or dewar deliveries, significantly reducing transportation-related greenhouse gas emissions. By removing regular deliveries from the supply chain, businesses can lower their overall carbon footprint while also reducing vehicle traffic, fuel consumption, and associated environmental impacts.
Fewer deliveries mean fewer vehicles on the road, helping to lower congestion, air pollution, and overall energy consumption. Combined with the efficiency of generating nitrogen on demand, our systems enable businesses to meet production requirements while supporting their sustainability and decarbonisation goals.
